AIC is a leading supplier of digital and analogue cameras to the Scientific Imaging Industry. We have over
25 years experience providing digital imaging solutions for microscopy. AIC handles a wide variety of cameras to meet your specific imaging needs. Experience counts -- AIC is familiar with and has used every camera it markets.
We do not sell cameras based upon meeting sales quotas or what happens to be sitting on our shelf. We work with you, the end user, to supply the most practical solution for your application. Magnification, sensor size, FOV, microscope adapter, possible needs one to two years down the road, budgetary considerations, resolution requirements (Spatial and Temporal), and light sensitivity are just some of the important considerations in choosing a camera, not just pixel count per dollar. The key to maximizing your investment in a Digital Camera is to understand what the final use of the image is.
Please contact AIC for further discussion of your application and a recommendation on which camera will work best in your situation and to arrange a demonstration.
Below are only some of the Cameras that we market, with a short description of the camera and some of its features. The manufactures PDF is supplied for each. In addition,
listed is the PathScan Enabler III -- check this unit out for low magnification digitization of whole mounts without the need for a Microscope or
Camera and the Integral Technologies Frame Grabbers. This is not a complete list, as each manufacturer usually has a wide variety of
products to meet specific needs. We have selected the most popular
models for display here. For any manufacturer listed we carry their complete line, please contact AIC to discuss your specific requirements.

Better Light
- Model
4000E (3750 x 5000) Scan Back. Anyone using 4x5 Polaroid film
holders can use these cameras as a direct replacement for film on their
microscopes without the need for any adapters. Extremely high resolution
Better Light scan backs are acknowledged as the industry leader in
producing a level of image quality that is far greater than fixed-array
digital cameras. The company's scan backs utilize pure red, green and blue
pixel data providing images with no interpolation data, digital artifacts,
or moiré patterns. Scanning backs use a CCD sensor with three rows of
pixels, with a red, green, and blue filter on each row, to capture color
images in a single scan. A precision step motor and drive screw system is
used to move the CCD across the image plane. Now the 4000HS model is available
with twice the sensitivity of the E series cutting scan times in half or
more! A variety of other models
available to create even larger images.
